ulimits settings may hurt java programs

I find that my Java program very quickly runs out-of-memory.

After some research, I think this may be the reason:

I am nor sure what the implications are, but it would be good to know what ulimits are set on the nodes.

(Did you change something in this regard recently? Things look much better today than they did before.)
