folding changes when it should not

I have the space explorer open with some subspaces open. The I do an action such as delete a subspace (by dragging in the righthand pane to the recycle bin). Then the subspace hierarchy refreshes, closing various subspaces I had open. This is a decided nuisance since I have to continually reopen down the hierarchy. My request: refresh the hierarchy in the same state that it was in.
